Possibly some of the best news to hit the Nintendo DS since the phrase “Mario Kart Online” was uttered all those years ago, one the last hits of the SNES and considered by many one of the greatest RPG’s of all time, is getting a DS make over.
Coming this Christmas to Japan and North America, Chrono Trigger will be re-released on the Nintendo DS with a feastful of extras (including the use of the dual screen with new touch screen features, a new dungeon and wireless play mode).
No news on whether Crono (which is how it’s spelt, Wikipedia ftw) and pals are coming to PAL territories (considering Chrono Trigger did a Super Mario RPG and completely skipped Europe and Australia during its SNES and PS1 release) but considering Trigger is also the 3rd most requested game to be ported to the Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console, there’s plenty of money to be made.
