Pika Pika, PIKACHU!!! (or Pokémon Platinum is dated for Japan)

Pokémon Platinum Cover

If the prospect of playing Pokémon Diamond and Pearl and capturing all 493 Pokémon (seriously, I know the motto is “Gotta Catch ‘Em All!”but does anyone have the time anymore?) again sounds like an ideal time, then you maybe thrilled to hear that the latest Pokémon title Pokémon Platinum has a release date in the land of the rising sun.

Scheduled for a September 13th 2008 release, Pokémon Platinum is an enhanced remake of Diamond and Pearl (similar to Yellow, Crystal and Emerald). Offering a colder environment, an alternative form to legendary Pokémon Shaymin and expanded Wi-Fi areas, the game will most probably sell by the bucket loads (and offer many headaches to confused adults).

Depending on how long it’ll take translators to get the game into English/French/German/Italian/Spanish will probably play an important factor in other region’s release dates.

Just how many times can someone translate Charmander anyway?

I bet it will take about a year before it makes it out over here, in time for the 12th movie to come over as well as this ties in with a lot of it.

Pokemon is a massive seller still which as saved Nintendo from going the way of Sega so he has his reasons to be happy with it.
