ENDWAR LOGO

I have to admit when I heard the concept for this game I very quickly jump to the conclusion of “It will never work in a million years” However I sit here with my foot firmly in my mouth because after playing the demo I was pleasantly suprised and didn’t feel at all silly talking to myself issuing orders to my digital platoon.

What I loved was how easy the interface was very understnding, quick to pick up and above all else FUN. There I was commanding my units like a 10 year war vet you’d think I’d been doing it for years when in reality I’d be the first one to hide behind a large enough rock while fashioning a surrender flag out of my underpants. But thats one of things I find appealing this game is that it requires you to engage with the gameplay.

Right time for the negative stuff, I found the camera to be some what stiff at times I wish I could just sweep across the landscape as I saw fit but it seemed to have a mind of it’s own and only wanted to show me what it deemed worthy. secondly it was all a bit too easy I really hope the full game offers a wider range of mission objectives than just the simple who can capture the most stratigic points and build the most tanks.

Anyway I’d recommend it to a friend who loves a good RTS and is willing to try something different so have a go if can I’d love to hear your thoughts.

 Till then HAPPY GAMING :)
