I was playing through Gears of War 2 with Ben on Co-Op mode online, I get to one part in the Story with the tickers yadda yadda, all of a sudden the game crashed! This happened 2 more times, before it let me through that part of the story, (Both me and Ben had to restart the game to get back into it.)
I was talking with a friend who works in Game, He was saying that people have also having issues with “Dirty Discs” which out of the blue the game would stop working and give you an error message saying, the disc is dirty please clean etc… He mention that few people have returned the game for a new one, but did not comment if they have returned.
with these 2 errors I head over to the Epic forums to find out if anyone else is having the same problems. 1 person had problem with his graphics.
After going through most of the issue thread…. well most of the issues was just complaints about changes that was made, asking Epic to change certain things, here is a run down of what people want changed. (Well the most complained about)
- Wingman definitely has balance issues
- Inconsistant Torque Explosions
- Boomshield vs. Chainsaw - When attempting to chainsaw a player with a boomshield, half of the time it does nothing, and the other half it warps you behind them and chainsaws them from the back. Pretty damn strange if you ask me
- map cycles need changing
- Shotgun are not powerful enough
- Chainsaw are too powerful
- Smoke grenades are too powerful
- Mortar/boom shot too powerful
- Pavilion disguises frag grenades
- Matchmaking Time (See video for example)
If I missed anything out issue wise let us know, or if you have a solution to some of the errors. Do you think Gars of War 2 is better than Gears of War?

Grenades take to long to blow up if you shoot them. Also Smoke grenedes make you fall down. I prefere the old smoke bombs.
my problems are not with the gameplay as such but the lack of it when you are looking for a multiplayer game. searching for teammates takes way too long. really need to get that sorted out. and also when i press the A button at the menu screen nothing happens. usually resolved by turning the xbox on and off two or three times. i also know of a few other people having theese problems this is something that really needs to be sorted too. this could result in me trading the game in.
I’va also got the same problem as “MorbidMurchadh”. I was playing co-op, and when I reloaded the game, I couldn’t load back to my checkpoint, it only lets me load back to the first act, even if I am much further in the game!!! Anyone has found a solution? I don’t mind starting again, but I don’t want that to happen everytime!!!

Yh.. i had the same bloody problem, i can rarely get on to campaign mode without resets the consol a few times, and the error message also came up about a ‘dirty disk’ ?? its brand new!!!
SORT IT OUT!! Nintendo 64 never had these problems lol
